Ludwig Museum - Museum of Contemporary Art, Budapest

My first experience in a major contemporary art institution was through working at the Ludwig Museum - Museum of Contemporary Art in Budapest. I learned everything about the curator´s role and the impact exhibitions can have on our society, right there, from the Team. I had the chance to learn about each departments work rhythm, how and what is being done at the collection department, at the installation team, at the communications department, the restaurateurs office and of course, the exhibitions team. My involvements let me gather experience in writing conditions reports, managing international art transports and art insurance, copyrights, overseeing new commissions, research and the preparation of institutional publications and every tiny detail of exhibition making one can imagine. I took away a great amount of knowledge and understanding by learning about how an international institution on this scale operates on an everyday basis through the generous time and dedication of the entire museum team, for which I am grateful for.
